He'd beat guys through accumulation, most of these wins were through TKO.
Young Dokes was a good boxer with fast hands and the ability to go fifteen rounds. But he had trouble finishing opponents when he had them In trouble and often looked unimpressive. Absolutely and that was recognized in the press during the times. At one time he was considered to have had the fastest hands of the heavyweights, with Holmes and Page on the next rung.
