michael dokes liver cancer...........

    as you all know joe frazier passed away with liver cancer at age 67.....from his diagnis...he only lasted roughly 1 month..........michael dokes was diognosed with liver cancer over 1 yr ago and he is stiill alive does anybody know he he is doing????

    Alot of it has to do with the timing of the diagnoses

    Yea, the stage of which the cancer was in.


    Dokes probably in stage 1/2. While Frazier was very likely in Stage 4.

    Since it is Dokes, he is more than likely still doing a bunch of lines of the white stuff.

    I know I am going to get a lot of **** over this but **** Dokes. He violently raped and abused a woman. He is a piece of **** in the ring and out. Probably even casued the cancer himself by treating his body like a pharmacy waste basket.

    The crime Dokes was convicted of was really ****ing disgusting.

    Makes me enjoy the Ruddock fight all the more.

    In the ring he was a good fighter...like many 80s HW, he squandered a lot of talent.

    yes he raped his own gf and beat her so bad that the police didnt even know who she was/ michael dokes did 10 yrs in jail for that.......but i wouldnt wish cancer on michael dokes my friend.....cachibatches cast a stone my friend:smoke

    Dokes was a very talented fighter, but had been on drugs. Sorry to hear that bad news about Dokes...........

    Makes you wonder with 2 of these boxers with liver cancer, if they are exposed to some toxic chemical in the course of their boxing careers?
    Any ideas?

    Of course, I gather some will cite Doakes' prior drug use. But I don't think he got any of that in jail. And I don't think Joe did that stuff.

    Joe was known as a heavy drinker, so that may have played a role.

    Don't know about Dokes though.
