Michael Dokes vs Leon Spinks

They actually did fight before in the AAU finals and it was actually Spinks who took home the Gold.

Nice to read that. I had heard from a local guy just before the Covid stuff that he was really sick again.

 

I wish him the best but unfortunately fear the worst. I just lost an uncle to cancer (pancreatic) a couple months back.

 

Sorry to hear about your uncle. Cancer is an ugly disease. I believe Liver cancer killed Dokes at a fairly young age.

 

Thank you, it means a lot. I thought Dokes died of an overdose but I just checked and you were right. Way to young. Cancer also took the great Joe Frazier.
