Michael Gerard Tyson vs. Jacob Joseph Paul

If Tyson pulls out do you think they could market Martin Short coming in at Short Motice?

 

It would definitely be a short night's work if it happened

 

I think Jake has more than ok skills. He beat Silva who had recently beat Chavez Jr., who KO'd Andy Lee and almost KO'd Martinez and was considered a valid opponent for Froch, Golovkin, Canelo etc.
So if shot Chavez can't beat old Silva but Jake can, that does say something.
He's at least better than shot Chavez Jr.

It's a very weird fight here. Jake isn't a HW and probably not a natural cruiser either. Tyson isn't a natural HW, probably closer to Jake in natural size than people think, but he fought at HW and fought HWs. So both have been roiding and still are roiding. What does that mean for Tyson's performance?
Obviously Jake has never fought at HW in the pros or at top level there, even top level at LHW/cruiser.
But Tyson is an old man. Still, he's a roiding old man.

Not sure we've ever seen a circus fight like this with such wide and strange differences. So it's hard to predict it.

Wouldn't surprise me if it's a boring spar though.

I would say it's somewhat impressive if Tyson could easily beat Paul given the age difference.

 

The contract states exactly how this fixed circus exhibition will go. Tyson gets paid by the round so don't expect him to come out flying and trying to end it in round 1.

I must also mention that this fight is proof that we live in an idiotic society where influencers are celebrated, and in this case it is Jake Paul.

In your opinion, how do you think this fight goes? Was looking at the odds because I fancied a bet but they are both evenly matched. Could a draw be in the script? I could get 10/1 on that.

 

Draw is not a terrible bet because it could set up a rematch. (Groan)

 

I had a $20 bonus bet I put on Tyson by points. A nice $200 if it comes in.

 

I still say they wil turn it into an exhibition before ot starts.
