Probably would be but would be another time the bookies got it wrong. I,d be amazed if mike could beat him atm. Briggs is in ridiculously good shape for his age. Both will pretty much be on peds. But briggs has kept active...will make all the difference.

Tyson will make a mistake going in against anyone decent or anyone thats once been good unless they,ve absolutely nothing left. Needs to find guys that will always be useless. It,ll be danny williams all over again. Guys hes expected to beat...guys hes much better than but he wont have the fitness/stamina to actually beat them. Needs to build it up slowly.

Danny Williams’ team have been talking up a rematch since this has surfaced

Lots of options out there for Tyson let’s face it he ain’t gonna compete at the top now but he can make a great comeback nonetheless.

Briggs is younger and has been out of the ring for 4 years, Mike, a whopping 15. Briggs beats him and Mike is my favorite fighter. I don't want to see this.

This is a massive mistake for Mike. He's done well for himself with his podcast and other things going on. Having a loss in the recent memory of people is not smart.

I feel the same way, but a part of me also for those very reasons kind of finds glee in the idea of him returning and defying the odds to score a big satisfying KO. Much better note to end his fighting career on than McBride, anyway...

I like a Williams fight more for Mike's sake. Briggs would ko Williams in my view. Williams is so shot he would be ko'd by his corner man's towel.

Williams as in Danny?? It would be literally criminal for him to be sanctioned versus punchers the caliber of Briggs - let alone Tyson - at this point (even with them straddling either side of 50). Williams has been shot to hell with a wet paper chin, losing more and more brain cells, for well over a decade now.

Still operates as a Euro bum. Would never get a license to fight in UK again. Mike needs to put that loss right.

As long as it was mercifully quick and he finished the Bomber in like 30 seconds, I'd be down. :ggg

Bring on McBride and Williams instead. As long as Williams is shot to bits. I have no idea what he's been doing.

Lennox too to finish the avenging of those 2000's losses. But no chance Lennox would do it, obviously.

But really, I would rather Mike not fight at all.

True story: Briggs almost got the contract to fight Tyson in the Meadowlands in 99. It fell through.

I hate going against Tyson because I love watching him and generally find him to be a fascinating person, but I'd go with Briggs off of activity and the fact he's stayed in seemingly decent shape, coupled with Tyson's lifestyle a handful of years back, inactivity, and recent back surgery. There is this this small part of me, though, that wants to see a fully-motivated, well-trained Tyson come back against a completely shot heavyweight who is fairly fat and out of shape - think Samuel Peter, maybe. Could Tyson just go all out for a few minutes and land something huge? Not like Peter has much defense, but who knows if Tyson could even take a reasonably solid heavyweight shot at this stage.

Is it true that these two have both signed for this?

and if so is it bareknuckle fighting?

it’s hard to understand as these guys are (were) professional boxers and you can tear your face wide-open with bare knuckles

George Foreman got away with his comeback because he was a 6ft4 giant who never relied on reflexes or timing to get his KOs.

A prime Mike Tyson was undersized - 5ft9 barefoof - and relied on quickness of foot and combinations to be successful. His style is a young man's style. He was already burnt out by the mid 1990s..

If Tyson does not get the job done with 1 round he is a sitting target. People need to accept reality.

If this happens in either one lands a good shot to the face, there’s going to be blood pouring

I wonder how/when they Decide it’s time to stop these bare knuckle fights

Lots of blood and open lacerations has to be of little concern
