I hate when people say that. Are you saying you've NEVER said anything about anyone that you wouldnt say to their face?? Theres people i ****in hate that COULDNT batter me and Id still not say stuff to there face.

If he doesnt like him, his throwing of a fight (or two, regardless of a fix) and the fact he killed someone should be good enough reason to dislike him. People hate other boxers for less and nothing gets said, cause none of there mates frequent these forums.

In my opinion he was a good boxer that never fulfilled his potential, but gave us a lot of great nights. I would have quite liked to see the film as I know little about the guys background.

 

Ha calm down, I only said he wouldnt say it too his face to get a pun in with his name. He probably wouldnt say it too his face, but if he did, he would find Gomez is a ggod guy and would have a laugh about it and probably win him over. He has had an interesting life; born in a car; murder charge; stabbed and died on operating table and his mam (after 9 kids) ran off with his brothers GIRLfriend! He did used to play the bad guy, but partly that was because his fighting style was based on aggresion and to fight like that you have to 'hate' your opponent.

With regards killing someone - he was charged and found to be acting in self defence and CCTV showed that the lad had tried robbing Gomezs chain. Obviously he didnt deserve to die, but Gomez punched him and it was the impact of his head on the floor which caused the injury.

I agree he never quite reached his potential - his lifestyle in between fighhts was horrendous but he gave good value for money in his fights

I didnt even realise that, i dont tend to actually look at whos posted what, just the content of the posts themselves, sorry atsch ! but it is silly when someone has an opinion on a boxer/person, then one of his mates/freinds is on saying "YOU WOULDNT SAY IT TO HIS FACE".
