Mike would make a terrible journeyman and might get hurt, He's too brave for his own good and needs to retire.

What I am saying is if he doesn't retire then there are options for him. Why not TV work in Australia or New Zealand? There's bound to be some stuff out there for him. We also have to consider the possibility that he might actually enjoy doing these unlicensed shows.

Yep, Gomez is never going to be the type of fighter to muddle his way to a points loss against a prospect. He'd go hell for leather for the win and get hurt.

If the fight in unlicensed, is it legal in the UK? Apologies if this is a dumb question, it just seems a little dodgy to me. (picture of gomez fighting tranny's in a back ally or a cage somewhere)

It is an unsanctioned bout, not an illegal one. unlicensed boxing is exactly that, boxing without the backing of the BBBC. Its a poorly organised and dangerous version where fighters medical disposition is not accountable to a body. Ie if your epileptic, diabetic etc you can still fight but if you get hurt your ****ed.

This is sad stuff, I remember in the build-up to the Khan fight he seemed to be getting his life in order. Spending more time with the family, getting off the booze etc. :-(

Very shady stuff, I thought there would be a law against these things.

But like someone said, maybe he's just enjoying himself and having fun, not taking things seriously. needs to retire tho, me finks
