That's been mentioned, Marinaccio stopped after the 7th due to a shoulder injury.
Byrd was easily outboxing him but didn't knock him down or anything.

It is amazing at one time, Grant was HBO's poster child for the next great heavyweight! Nice, personable guy, with a nice record, but I bet whoever is promoting him, will probably keep building him up up, and will cash out with a six-figure payday across the Atlantic.

Some good posts here. I didn't expect to see this thread go so far. Good. Anyway, I hope that Grant can do something meaningful in this comeback. I am rooting for him 100%:good

I still remember the cover of The Ring Magazine with Grant on the cover as Boxings next big star right before the Lennox Lewis fight.

if the guy had been properly trained to box i think he would have been outstanding. but instead he was allowed to use his athleticism

Grant is 36. He was 27 when he faced Lennox Lewis.

    why do you hope?

he sucks as a fighter and was overly hyped . and showed little mental toughness

    in his losses after Lewis.:good

by the way that hope doesn't come by the chance that hes a black HW :think

    i hope it doesn't :good

Absurd statement. Grant has displayed more boxing skill over the course of his career than Fields could ever dream of. His wins over Izon, Savarese and Golota alone give him far more cache than Fields will ever have.

Tye Fields? Come on - you got to be kidding me. He got stopped by non-puncher Monte Barrett.
