He seemed quite a good fighter from what i saw last night shame it got stopped though.. Does he make it to domestic level or does he surpass it n go onto European or even higher? Opinions please???
He looks to have some great natural gifts. I'd like to see him under more "normal" fighting conditions before I can make a proper asessment, but there's certainly something to work with.
Domestic. Seen him buzzed on Setanta and again last night. His fundamentals aren't great, looks like he's from that Ingle school of boxing but his physical gifts don't really stack up as he gets hit a lot. The only thing I see in him is handspeed.
^^^^First thing I thought was a poor mans Junior Witter. I don't think that Grant will make it even at domestic level to be honest...he stepped up last night against a decent fighter, but one who had been out of the ring for, in effect, 4 years and got caught at will in the first round.
He's quite nimble on his feet, but I trust your judgement on these things. Last night, I think, was the first time I'd seen him although I could have seen him on Setanta and just forgot about it.
Domestic at best. What he is doing at 140lbs bemuses me. He is so slight in frame and has **** all strengh and power. Cook bullied him. He needs to go down to 135/130.
i'd like to see him get back to his boxing and use the ring like he did in the amateurs. He used to look brilliant, dancing about and firing shots from different angles. He's been trying to make a fight of it a bit too much IMO and it doesn't suit him.
