6’7 former heavyweight title challenger “Big” Michael Grant (47-4, 35 KOs) is seeking a high level heavyweight opponent for his next fight. Grant reports: “Since my knockout of Tye Fields in March, we are having difficulty finding a high-ranking heavyweight willing to fight me. I am ready to step up to the highest level available and will fight any of the top heavyweights willing to get in the ring with me.” The 38-year-old Grant’s longtime attorney and management advisor Jim Thomas added, “Mike is one of the most athletically gifted and powerful heavyweights ever, and at one point he was the most highly-regarded heavyweight in the world. He has had some bad breaks along the way, but he has fought through them, and I believe he is now once again one of the best and most dangerous heavyweights in the world. We are looking for a high-ranking heavyweight with the courage to get in the ring with Mike, and we do not have a promoter, so a fight ought to be easy to arrange.”

Grant has done very well with Adamek, I think a fight with Grant and Arreola would be a good fight.

Mike Perez ain´t exactly high-ranking HW, but he´s one of the most promising and one of the fastest rising prospects in the field.
Would be a good fight and a win over Grant should jolt him in the lime-light.

I want to see Grant vs. Helenius. I think that fight can be made.

Thats what I think too. A puncher (Arreola) vs a counterpuncher (Grant).

He landed one solid punch the entire fight and lost every round. His fight plan was garbage, basically not doing anything and saving enough breath to launch a hail mary at the end. He connected, he staggered Adamek, the bell rung and he still lost the round. I don't think he did all that well at all. He's just too incomplete of a fighter, and a little shaky mentally, to have success at the top. I'd pay to see him in with Arreola, Tua or Peter though. Even with Wlad it would be entertaining while it lasted. Grant does have real power.

Punch stats do not score fights do they? Do you even know how the stats are recorded? its a ****ing guy with a button, you mean to tell me that we are to base our decison off of some idiot that has a button in one hand and a drink in the other?

I agree that Grant lost, But I do not agree that it was a wipe out, it was a close fight I had it 115-113 Adamek and I think even most hardcore Adamek fans will agree to this.....

I gave Grant 3 rounds max. 115-113 is way too close. Punch stats do tell a part of the story, especially if they are spread wide apart. And they tell me, Grant came in looking for a hail mary.

I said 3 rounds max...2 of the 3 judges saw that as being too charitable.
