Do you think Grant stands any chance after beating Adamek? People often blame Haye for a possible Harrison fight, but there is Adamek who fights a total bum and they find it OK. Comparing those two future rivals (Grant/Harrison) we may assess who makes a bigger disgrace to boxing, either Haye or Adamek. So, whose decision is worse and Why? And, Who would win in a presumptive fight (Grant/Harrison)?
Haye is worst cause he is a belt holder and considers himself a champion, he should fight a top 10 heavyweight. Adamek is just trying to keep busy and get a title shot.
Adamek isn't a champion. he wants a title shot but won't be getting one any time soon, so he's staying busy. Grant is a big heavyweight who punches hard, and how Adamek performs would indicate if he stands any chance against a Klitschko.
Adamek is just trying to keep busy and get a title shot.
Your exactly right. Adamak is a throwback, fights alot, yeah some aren't the best but most are/were fringe contenders. Look at JCC Sr. record, definitely alot of bums, same with SSR. To fight 5-6 times a year (which I believe is how you stay in shape and on your game) you can't always face top level guys. To answer your question, I believe that Grant's chin would get checked first, I see Harrison as more dynamic with more left in the tank than Michael.
To thread starter: I think there is no point comparing Grant and Harrison because Adamek-Grant is not a real fight, just stay busy fight which helps to prepare for big goals... you missed how often Adamek fights compared to Haye.
Grant is a decent fighter and would easily outwrok and kayo Harrison. The major problem of Grant is he has no coordination and cant fight on the inside Dominick Guinn showed the blueprint how to beat him Adamek can do that Harrison cant Its a good style matchup to get the experience Adamek needs that will be the opposite from style the fight with Arreola was.
Adamek would have 4 fights at HW this year (Estrada, Arreola, Grant and probably Peter in December), while Haye only 2 fights (Ruiz, Harrison). It makes the difference. Harrison and Grant are on similar level. I dont know who of them would win.
Grant hired Dawson's trainter, so beware of him. There is also a huge possibility of Haye catching some lucky punch. And here comes a fight of the year. Grant vs Harrison. Poll suggests it will be competitive one - cant wait!!!
The main differences between the Adamek and Haye situations are that Adamek is trying to get to a title and is fighting a guy he believes will on some level prepare himself for fighting a Klit (Grant is one of a very few hws are that tall and with some skill). On the other hand, Haye, who does have a trinket belt, has already proclaimed himself the best and capable of destroying K2. More importantly, Haye may take a fight with Audley in order to continue hiding from the klitchkos. BTW, Grant ain't a bum and he should be better than audley even at this point but given the inactivity at his age it's hard to tell where grant is
Grant wasnt a bad fighter. Fought to a high level against top names. Dont think he deserves to be lumped in with Harrison.
Both are comically lazy and inactive during fights, but both also possess murderous one-punch KO power.
