    I didn't even need to respond to this drivel. Your idea of Wilder as some great champion above reproach is pure comedy. Problem is your serious. All I did was present the matchup and your panties got ruffled a great extent. Keep coming back. Your welcome here...we dont turn away women even when they get emotional and bleed all over a potentially good thread.

    BTW..Grant fought in a better era and beat better fighters. I'd give him a slight edge.

    Their both vulnerable to going down. Grant doesn't lack power. Either guy can hurt the other. Michael got dropped by AG who was an excellent boxer. He got up off the canvas and stopped Andrew with a bomb of his own. He had some heart. Getting KOd by a peaking Lewis isn't anything to be ashamed of. Lennox did that to more than a few heavyweights. Bowe wouldn't even fight him.
    We have seen where Wilder is susceptible as well. If Grant backs him up he can beat him.

    Claiming he beat better fighters seems difficult to defend. Who are these better fighters? He lost to Dominic Guinn so the eras argument also seems silly.

    I agree, the only comparisons are that they are both black, 6'7 and are looked at by some as being hype jobs. I personally, don't consider Deontay a hype job, but he is fundamentally flawed in some ways. The differences between him and Grant are: Wilders amazing power, athleticism, killer instinct, hand speed and the fact that he had "10 title defences". Say what you will about the era Deontay fights in but it doesn't negate what he was able to accomplish. I saw Grant as a hype job. HIs best wins being a nutty Golota and Savarese. Hardly world beaters, you may say the same about Wilder BUT i think the fighters that Wilder beat were better than Grants, and i don't think that Grant could replicate what Wilder did. I don't think Grant beats Stiverne of the first fight, he doesn't beat Ortiz and he most certainly doesn't draw with Tyson Fury.

    I also agree with a previous poster. Deontay gets Grant out of there within 3 rounds. It could very well look like Wilder vs Brezeale.
