Hrgovic by KO. Better boxer with much better fundamentals and sturdy chin (compared to Grant's glass jaw)
I think Grant takes this, really. Hrgovic might well go down as one of the greatest what ifs. Kid is like a box of all the right ingredients but no recipe to put them all together. Can he beat Grant? Yup. Should he? Absolutely. Does he? No. Grant has everything Hrgovic has but chin, and has something Hrgovic doesn't. Desire, belief, I dunno, a spark of something that is missing from his make up. I do, however, remember thinking he'd give Lewis a go....so what do I know?
Grant was a great athlete but he didn't have the skill or chin to match the level required. I'll say Hrgovic points.
Hrgovic by KO. He beat murderous punching Zhang (by narrowest margin but still) and won like 5 of first 7 rounds against Dubois doing much better than Miller or AJ. Hrgovic has better fundamentals and overall skills, million times better punch resistance. Their power is comparable, but if Hrgovic could withstand Zhang and Dubious power he sure as hell would take Grant's one who is clearly inferior puncher to this two while Grant won't be able to take his one, nor does he have skills to avoid getting hit by Filip. Hrgovic KO6
Hrgovic by KO. Hrgovic's career was poorly managed (perhaps intentionally). I remember that one of the members had an inscription under his profile picture: "Hrgovic=next HW champion of the world"
Hrgovic is miles better fundamentally, balance, jab, technique, he’d set up that right over the stiff jab of Grant and he’d catch him with his chin in the air, much less telegraph and much better balance and he’d be in the much better position to get punches off.
Michael Grant from the Golota fight showed true grit and heart, I think that was his best performance and that version I'd pick to beat Hrgovic.
Hrgovic if it’s best against best. If they shared the same era, Hrgovic might inexplicably come in out of shape and get stopped after going up early though.
