Ok, well I just heard from someone fairly close to Michael Grant that we can expect to see him fight Tyson Fury next. The reckoning is they’ll get a shot at Wlad with a win.
I think this is a dangerous option for Grant, if he loses the contest his career is pretty much over and although I’d put my money on him to beat Fury, I wouldn’t be all that surprised if the young buck takes him out.
    What do you guys reckon?

I wasn't told why the Wach fight didn't happen, just that he's gonna fight Fury in November in Britain.

I suppose there's bigger possible rewards with this bout.

Fury would win that, and its not a bad fight for him at this stage. Grants experience will provide at least some challenge, and its a confidence booster to have a fairly 'big' name like that on your record. I wouldn't be surprised if it would be a way to corner Adamek into a fight by being all his old opponents better than he did.

I don't think it's a bad move at this stage either. No doubt people will make ze poo on it like they do every fight that's not a big fight, it seems. Grant was never anything special but he's maintained a rather reasonable level at his age. He sort of hovers in that C+ range of top 20-30 name active heavyweights. He does bring size, experience, a good right hand and his lower-level name and that's just fine for Fury right now. I'd like to see it, really.

Grant's an ok opponent for Fury, someone slightly better would have been nice but Grant would be the second best fighter Fury has faced if they fight. He's a good reward to risk opponent as well.

Ideally, Fury would have fought 4-5 times this year considering the level of competition he's facing. Three times is fine if you are fighting at the top level but if you're still learning than you should be more active.

Nice matchup. I`d favor Fury 2-1 but it`s an open fight.

    M. Grant wants a sweet payday to fight and Wach wasn`t able to bring that. Fury has a TV deal and is a bigger draw, he surelly generates more revenue money.
