Michael Hunter calls out Whyte, Parker and Chisora.

Wow, off the back of a competitive few rounds against Usyk and beating the latest overhyped, novice heavyweight, Hunter is now a top 3-5 heavyweight contender, really?

 

What are you on about? You've named two fights where he had to cling on for dear life and got a controversial decision.

 

In terms of skill I think he's better than all of them, but this is the big boys division where size is a big factor.

I picked Hunter to beat Bakole but Bakole would lose to all of them, this would be a much more significant step up vs proven fighters with more skill than Bakole will ever possess.

I think he could perhaps out hustle Chisora. Chisora hasn't been at a decent weight since his loss to Pulev, a 250lbs Chisora might just get out worked and lose a close decision. But I wouldn't count Chisora out, he'll likely have Hunter right in front of him for most of the fight, Chisora will get out worked but as the Takam fight showed he could find a big punch and win it and Hunter is sloppy on the inside at times with his defence.

Parker on paper should win but he's coming off 2 losses and he has such big and now well known flaws. in his make up as a fighter, he'll struggle to deal with the busy and aggressive Hunter. If Hunter has a flaw other than his size it's he can be sloppy inside and leave himself open but Parker doesn't fight at that range so I don't think he can take advantage of this. Parker doesn't counter so will likely get pushed back like he does almost in every fight now and when Parker is on the back foot he has no offence. Hunter wins a decision by out working and pushing back Parker.

Whyte seems to be the best of the bunch with wins over Parker and Browne. He also hit hardest of the 4 and is physically the biggest of the 3. I think he has his hands full with Hunter but if he shows up in shape he should be able to deal with Hunter. His jab, body shots, that counter left hook should be enough to win him the fight. Probably wins a close competitive decision.

 

Funny thing is when Usyk fought Hunter, everyone blamed him that he fights a lame opposition. Now 2 years later everyone is putting Hunter above the top names in the HW division.

I think Hunter woupd give chisora a boxing lesson. At present though I just think Whyte and Parker would be too much for him.
