    The very merry month of May. (exact date not yet set but almost certainly not the weekend following Cinco de Mayo as Canelo has bird-dogged the spotlight for himself that day)

    Both men are every major sanctioning organization's heavyweight top 15. Hunter is WBA #12, WBC #8, and IBF #4, with Hrgović right behind him on all counts at WBA #13, WBC #9, and IBF #5. This, however, will be an eliminator for the WBO's title; in those rankings Hunter is #7 and Hrgović #12.

    hrgovic by UD. hunter is decent but MASSIVELY overated on this forum atleast... lost to usyk but because he looked somewhat decent in his loss got way overated... draw'd a ageing povetkin that was losing vs whyte before his lucky one punch ko... i wouldnt be surprised if hrgovic starts to punish him after 8 or 9 rounds tbh

    No on should ever take your opinions seriously. If you seriously think that KO was lucky punch you know nothing about boxing.

    Povetkin has the power and quality, and he produced the best punch of the night.

    Hgrovic has fought no one near the level of Povetkin or Whyte or Usyk.

    Maybe hgrovic will win, but Hunter isn't over rated at all. He's proven himself at least on the same level as Povetkin who is still a real threat.

    He gave AJ a good fight and KO'd whyte. He's still a threat.

    So you missed the rest of the fight which clearly showed Povetkin trying to set up such a manoeuvre

    it was a lucky punch but good job trying to sell it otherwise.. and yes Hunter is overated. some people here actually think he can be heavyweight champion lol

    ye he has a cool background story so i can understand getting behind him and really wanting him to win a belt.. but the hype he gets is abit much

    That said, this won't be the light easy spar most of Hrgović's pro run has been - he'll need to shift into a higher gear.

    Oh and for the record I skimmed over and completely missed that 'lucky punch' bit - dude, Povetkin is a seasoned and highly technically sound pro, he planned that out and executed to perfection. You can say come from behind sure but lucky? Nah.

    I don't think a repeat is beyond reason, and if he does it Sasha will have damn near cemented ATG legacy without ever having captured a legitimate full world title belt (excluding secondary and tertiary versions). :sisi1

    The winner of Hunter vs. Hrgović, though, will have less of a marquee name but more long-term upside than whoever wins Whyte vs. Povetkin II, IMO.

    Hrgovic should win. Hunter has a decent chance to win - 65/35 type fight in favor of the Croat.
