Well he did knock the soul out of their common opponent Joel Caudle, whom Arias went six with without even dropping him. That's the main reason I'm worried.
Round 1 Chaney is waving out a long backhanded jab up from the hip as Arias twitches and weaves in a corner, momentarily pinioned, and then circles out. Lots of bobbing movement by Arias, needs to be careful not to exert too much too early with that, but it does seem to be perplexing Chaney, who stands off just watching. Body jabs by Arias. Chaney is getting his belly kneaded by triple jabs from Arias bending over at the waist, forming an upside down L. 10-9 Arias
Mybe, but that says more about how lacking in power Arias is in comparison, not anything about how great Chaney and Arias' chins are.
Round 2 Chaney is shooting jabs out from his waistband, telegrahing and one & done...and lo and behold, getting slipped easily by Arias using constant side-to-side tilting and head movement while circling. Arias diving in and jabbing under Chaney's armpit. Not a hell of a lot happening. 10-9 Arias 20-18 Arias
Not sure what was cringier there... Cobbs comparing this to Ali-Frazier, or Flores informing everyone that Ali's real name was Cassius Clay, and acting like it was some unknown shocking revelation.
Round 1 Arias 10-9, close Round 2 Arias 10-9 Round 3 Arias 10-9 Pretty dominant round from George. Rocked him to his core early, then landed the same looping left a few more times.
Round 3 Arias starts fast and WOBBLES Chaney with a sudden overhand meeting him at ring center. Arias throwing huge power combos, and Chaney is alarmed! He recovers after standing up tall and blocking a few shots, and begins to lumber in behind that jab again to show Arias he is no lame duck. Weak slashing body combos at the belt line from Chaney on the inside, very clumsy when he doesn't have room to let his punches breathe. Arias hacking down with both arms, shoulders gyrating as he sails inside. Chaney just backs up, leans back with his chin high, and pushes down with his arms to swat Arias' gloves away. 10-9 Arias 30-27 Arias
Who ever is managing Michael Hunter's career is wasting his potential and talent for the last 2 years. He's not getting any decent fights to progress and I would like to see him fight at least the Yokas, Douboises, Wallins, Ruizezzes of the division instead of some yokels (no offense to Forrest).
Just keeping my fingers crossed he doesn't gas out and make me look like Nostradamus. As with Davis vs. Cruz, this is one where I'd love to be wrong.
