What you mean by casuals? Do you think that majority of ppl who are buying tickets and ppvs are professional boxing experts ( are earning for a living in boxing industry)?

They are ranked highly by boxing orgs: everyone might easily google up their ranking tables.
Eddie told that Whyte is very good. He is ranked in top 5?
Hunter had been offered by IBF to do fight vs Hrgovic for purpose like winner of this fight might become IBF manadatory challenger for IBF World Title.
Ruiz is ranked highly, we might understand why: he is 1-2 in World Title fights ( vs Parker 1, vs A.J 2 fights ).

This is an extremely biased thread..................anyone's resume can be critiqued to oblivion. I did select no he can't be HW champion however as:

    1. I don't think he'd ever beat Usyk
    2. I don't think he'd ever beat Fury

Disclaimer: Hunter is personally my favorite current HW so there's no bias concerning who I think he'd lose to.

Weird thing is, Dubblechin's yet to comment here and he rarely, if ever, misses a Wilder thread. It's a shame too, even though I disagree with him about Mr Heavy Suit, as he writes well in a distinctive manner...

    100%

He has a chance against every other HW right now. He will stop Whyte and beat Ruiz.

The users of this forum are also unanimous on the idea that you're full of ****. The reason people don't think Hunter or Parker will win a title is because the top 2 aka Joshua and Fury are in possession of all world titles and are seen as 1 level above everyone else. I wouldn't favor Hunter or Whyte or Joyce to beat them but that being said anything can happen, nobody Wallin cut Fury up and hurt him in round 12 wheras obese Ruiz beat Joshua. These guys are genuine contenders albiet mediocre genuine contenders. But they're not fringe contenders. Bryant Jennings is a fringe contender, Takam is a fringe contender, Kabayel is a fringe contender. Luis Ortiz nowadays is a fringe contender. Just stop

Also if Wilder still had the beld I'd give all of those guys a listed a good chance to beat him. Wilder has only beaten fossil Ortiz and struggled heavily both times. As a matter or fact I'd favor Hunter to beat Wilder

Completely agree with you. I think he's definitely too much for either of them.

Joshua is a favourite in every fight because he has lots of fans. The more money these fans spend betting on their guy to win means the more his odds swing towards being a big favourite.
Wilder has no fans so Nobody watches his fights and therefore nobody bets on him. Not to mention the fact he’s a very limited fighter and can only win if he lands a big shot. That’s is why he’s nearly at even money sometimes.

That’s how betting works you moron.

This isn't a Wilder thread, it's a thread about Michael Hunter. For whatever reason some people want to drag Wilder into it even though he has no relevance here.

He'd beat Ruiz easily, Ruiz is the most limited HW in the top 20 (assuming he's top 20).

Ruiz is a great all rounder, good hand speed and can punch just severely lacks discipline. Definitely disagree he’s most limited.

Ruiz is the shortest, stubbiest, slowest footed HW of any note and lacks punching power (went the distance in 8/13 of his last fights, including against several chinny journeymen, despite being highly aggressive).

Yeah he destroyed AJ but it was a fluke win made possible by AJ's mediocre punch resistance, poor powers of recovery and low ring IQ.

It's obvious: I am Dubblechin. I mean, it's not possible that there is more than one person who thinks that Wilder is underrated on this forum.

Nice (and correct {homage to the bracket}) use of the colon. A rare thing these days...
