I think he was exposed against Povetkin and got out of jail with the draw. If you cant beat a 40 year old former contender, than I cant see you making it. Bakole wasnt all there mentally when he lost to him. It would be interesting to see how a rematch between those two would go today.
Lol it was Hunter who got robbed against Povetkin, not the other way round. As @CST80 said, Hunter was only gonna be used as a step up for prospects who'd get robbed more often than not, so a smart move from him. Maybe he goes back to PBC?
I didn't see anyone get "jobbed" or "robbed" in the Hunter-Povetkin fight. It was a really close fight and a DRAW seemed fair enough. Both were unimpressive, but at least Povetkin has the excuse of being 40 years old.
You sound so stupid. Hunter couldn’t beat a shot to bits Povetkin. Got rocked and dropped by him as well. Ruiz is a better fighter than Hunter.
It's not necessary to lay a foul tongue on me my friend. Povetkin might be way past his best but he's not shot (or at least he wasn't pre-Hunter). He's still ranked #6 by The Ring Magazine and younger than senator Pacquiao. And he did a better job on Slick Hughie Fury than J-Park did and he was beating the way bigger, longer and heavier AJ in the later's backyard prior to gassing and getting caught with that silly shot which lead to his demise. Also, many are picking him to beat a better injury free version of Whyte who hurt AJ badly even though he only had one arm going into the fight. I will concede that the war with Hunter will very likely have taken a lot out of him though and he might well be done at the top level now, as anyone in the twilight of their career would be if they were dumb or brave enough to take the Michael ''The Bounty'' Hunter challenge. Hunter already whooped the way bigger and heavier fearsome punching Bakole who gives AJ everything he can handle in camp during the hundreds of rounds they've sparred with each other. And he upset they way heavier and undefeated Kuzmin and destroyed the teak-tough Maldonado in 2 rounds who had never been stopped and neither Rivas, Takam or Teslenko could put a dent in him. Michael ''The Bounty'' Hunter's name was on that shortlist to face AJ too but they gave his surrogate son Fat Andy the gig instead. I predicted they'd duck CW Level Hunter and yet again I was bang on the money. They don't call me Soothsayer Serge for no reason.
