    If this is true, and I very much doubt it is, then it would be based off size and size alone. Hunter is a cruiserweight, and Wlad would be about 35lbs heavier, and could be as high as 50lbs heavier. Hunter could take shots of a Klitschko-esque puncher his own size, I'd have absolutely 100% confidence that he could take a flush left hook from Gassiev.

    And given the shots Hunter has took off bonecrushing punchers like Bakole and Povetkin, and who wasn't KOed by full force right hands from Wlad then it's no stretch that Hunter would take the one AJ did.

    Doubt it. He’d never take the left hooks or straight rights AJ took off Wlad he’s a cruiserweight. 15 stone cruiserweights don’t take those types of shots unless their chin is absolute granite which Hunters most likely isn’t. AJ and Wilder would spark him and Fury would play with him. He’ll never be a world champion.

    A couple of the mods in this thread have been saying that Hunter KO’s AJ mid rounds so they’re obviously not that smart. One of them said that AJ would duck Hunter despite fighting way more dangerous fighters. They have their bias. I still wouldn’t take their words as gospel.

    This was hilarious to read haha. AJ would do Hunter worse than he did Povetkin, probably a 5th round stoppage. Hunter isn’t a world level heavyweight. Won’t achieve anything and will become a gate keeper.

    Would be an interesting matchup that Eddie will never let happen.

    Heck its taken over two years and Joshua still hasnt fought Pulev.

    Sasha ''The KO King'' Povetkin hits harder than AJ. They have three common opponents and Sasha sparked 2 of them out cold on their backs whereas AJ could only beat Takam on a controversial referee stoppage and even though he did indeed take Whyte out in devastating HL reel fashion too he needed more punches to do so and it wasn't anywhere as near as devastating fashion as the way Povetkin took him out.

    Yes AJ stopped Wlad and Povetkin lost on points to Wlad but that was a much younger version of Wlad who would've KO'd AJ.

    So to my point. If Hunter, who fought up at SHW in the amateurs and against many huge punching behemoths, and AFAI was never stopped, can withstand Povetkin's power albeit a way past prime Povetkin but still dangerous and massive punching version of him why can't his mandible section withstand AJ's power too?

    Don't get me wrong, AJ is a huge puncher too but he's never been a one punch lights out kind of puncher like Povetkin is. If he caught Hunter with a huge right hand or left hook and then jumped on him unleashing those heavy and speedy combinations of his he could take him out albeit it would be difficult because Hunter has CW Level speed and defence and he would slip a lot of them or be able to take the sting out of them. But shot for shot Povetkin>>AJ

    Hunter wants a rematch against Povetkin. I have no dount Povetkin would take it in a heartbeat (even in his post-fight interview last night he was like ''sure no problem at all'' when asked about whether he'd rematch Whyte) and is cut from the same cloth as Hunter (ie. certified warrior cloth), he's on his last legs and if he gets by Whyte in the rematch, which he's contracted to do, it's a bit much to expect him to fight Whyte, the winner of Fury vs Bootleg D, and if he managed to pull two rabbits out of the hat and won the title against the winner, then a rematch against Hunter at his age and given how much he's declined and will have by then. Personally I would rather he only fought one more time or called it a day and that last fight should really be for the full title.

    As opposed to what? Should people instead take the word of a blathering know nothing fanboy poster with his nose permanently lodged in AJ's keister as the holy gospel? You offer up nothing but opinions and proclamations, based on wishes and dreams more than reality, and make no effort to refute anything I said. Until you do, don't quote me again. You're wasting my time. AJ is not unbeatable, that much is obvious, so stop deluding yourself that he is.

    However, was my prediction correct? Did AJ pull the duck? Yes and yes.

    So the the only crime I'm guilty of committing is telling the truth and if telling the truth and keeping it 100 is a crime then I'm proud to be a criminal.

    Ruiz is a better fighter than Hunter though. Hunter went life and death with an older Povetkin whereas AJ stopped him in 7. Levels to the game.
