maybe enough that I think he get draw vs Povetkin on cards. You too don't value EE boxers highly but I will tell you: Hunter lost this one. He still was not bad, good boxer.
its as simple as Hearn says he wants paying more than his value. He was on good money at Matchroom but doesnt really have much of a profile in the U.S or abroad. He needs to either sign with a promoter and fight 4/5 times in a year even for less money. Or take a risky fight and gamble. He apparently was offered good money for Hrgovic but didnt felt it was too much risk for the reward offered. Issue is if its the only option on the table he will be consigned to waiting for the next one to come along and fighting small fights until it does. Without a promotional backing he is going to be at the back of the line.
I know that Hunter has all of these achievements, but i don't think that they mean much in a bout between the two. The only thing that would worry me is Whyte's chin. He started off with a tremendous chin, and it seems as though he has lost his punch resistance. But Hunter is not the biggest of bangers. I think Whyte would rough him up and do him.
Hypes probably unjustified He is a quite refreshing alternative within the HW scene Maybe its born from that
I’m not sure his chin is THAT bad. Pov hid the ko shot perfectly and his left is heavy, Joshua caught him with an accumulation really, he got dropped by the other fella and got up. I think he’s gotten sloppy more than anything. I think he needs Tibbs back big time
I don't think that it's that bad either, but I'll be looking to see if it has degenerated any further after that knockout loss to Povetkin. I don't think that he was hurt against either Helenius (more buzzed a bit) or Wach. He was dropped by Parker out of exhaustion and the Rivas knockdown wasn't much, I think he got his footing tangled and treated it like a knee in the finish up. Still, I don't think he's got the chin he had vs Joshua, which really was incredible. You might be right, but I would still go back to the first point. I can't pass judgement on trainers because I don't know what goes on behind the scenes. It could be a bad thing to move away from him, but sometimes it's good for boxers to move away before a bad thing happens. It just so happens that he got sparked out in the first fight after the split... I can't wait for the rematch, it should be good. I think Whyte got complacent in the first bout because he was winning so comfortably. I'm not sure what you've been watching. Whyte has one of the best left hooks in boxing, excellent to the body from either side and has a very good jab. He's a plodder, but how does that make him void of boxing ability?
Reading your post reminded me of more moments he was stunned/dropped. Looking at it, I suppose it has deteriorated a bit since Joshua
Having a good left hook doesn't mean you are a good boxer. Dylan Whyte is about as predictable and slow a heavyweight as I've ever seen at the top level. Throw in poor defense and a shaky chin and I see plenty to be concerned about
Do you have problems with reading basic English, or are you just conveniently ignoring the rest of what I said in order to protect your bias? Which one is it?
