Michael Jennings confirms fight with Cotto (video)

RightCross, he's hardly a hype job: I doubt you'll find anyone who thinks he has a chance in this fight. Michael Jennings is a decent domestic level fighter and no more, please don't make it out to be more than it is. It's a comeback fight for Cotto in which he is a massive massive favorite.

It is a WBO eliminator. The WBO seems top think he is world class. Apparently he is the world boxing union title holder(I dotn know what that is), he is 34-1..

Looks like a hype job UK fighter to me.

OMG another savage beating in store for a british fighter. Was the destruction of Gary Lockett not enough for our fighters to realize that unless they are in the class of Hatton, Calzaghe etc no point taking on the top echelon unless you are getting paid serious money. I hope Jennings is getting well paid because he is definitely in for a beating. True that no-one knows how Cotto will react, but my guess is he will be keen to put on another performance such as the one against Alfonso Gomez. I'm not suggesting that Jennings is better or worse than Gomez, just that Cotto will dominate this fight as he is in a completely different class.

 

Hopefully he will perform better than Gary Lockett. I think he will, he's got better fundamentals. Also I think Cotto might just ease into this fight and try and get a few rounds.

Ultimately though the body attack will kill him. He stands tall.

 

The closest type of opponent i can think of thats similar to Cotto that Jennings has fought was a guy named Young Muttley,and Jennings got beat.Miguel Cotto even though coming off a punishing loss is like three Young Muttleys.What chance our Micheal? Slim.
