Michael Katsidis calls out...Anthony Mundine?

Not so sure about this for Katz, although I didnt see Mundines last performance. Heard it was good though.

Can't wat to hear some good replies on this one!

 

Katsidis is juist saying this to get the press prolly.

Altough at 154 Mundine would be drained badly.He was suppose to fight Medley at 54 but couldn't make it.

 

At 154 Mundine would be skin and bones, Michael would be a chubby little ****er.

Mundine is the cash cow in Australia. Of course everyone wants to fight him. Think of a guy like Oscar De La Hoya, everyone wants to fight the guy.

Katsidis challenged Mundine, because Mundine is boasting that no
Aussies have been able to beat him - obviously Mundine doesnt
consider himself an Aussie either, which comes as no suprise, considering
Mundine is a try hard Muslim.

Whilst no aussies have beaten Mundine, he dropped down to
supposedly fight Medley at 154 for a title, then Mundine couldnt
make the weight, so he came in as the bigger man.

Speculation that Mundine dropped weight were that he was ducking
Daniel Geale - a previously undefeated aussie who many thought
beat Mundine last yr, Geale appealed to the IBO, as the decision was
a farce, but to no avail.

Also there was speculation at Mundine/Green 2, but now that Green
holds the cards, Mundine wouldnt be able to fight a weight drained
Danny Green again, Green would KO Mundine at light heavy, so Mundine
runs down to 154 and still dont make the weight.

For what its worth I dont think Katsidis vs Mundine is remotely likely.

wats this about these lighter weights attacking mundine. n'dou from light welter sed hes willing to face mundine anytym anywhere just last year.

 

I actually had Mundine winning by 2 points against Geale.
Close fight? Yes. Farce? No.

 

I hate Mundine but anyone scoring that fight for Geale is simply wrong.

On the Katsidis topic, its easy to see why every Aussie fighter calls him out, he gets publicity. He also wouldn't be able to crack an egg at 154 and would probably throw punches in single digit volumes per round, so although Kats would obviously lose i don't think he would be overly worried about the nights work for a big paycheck. I would let skeletor beat me up for a couple of hundred thou.

 

Look at last night, he threw more shots than he ever has at 160, landed at a good rate, but didn't look like stopping Medley.
Same shots he KO'd guys with at 168. He doesn't belong at Middle.
Anyway, who really gives a ****?
The guy had a huge amount of gifts, but wasted his chance to ever do anything on the world scene.

 

So, Kat is talking as much WTFish talk as Mundine now. That's nice.
