Source? Must of been a 80-20 split for Kats then.

Makes sense for Katsidis to stay where he is rather than taking the Khan fight.

And Khan is a "champion" now, he shouldn't be fighting lightweights. Guess old habits die hard.

This is from the Sun. The worst and least reliable paper going over here.

Still, page 3 is always a treat! :hey

Aren't there any light-welterweights for Khan to fight?

well if Kats feels he is better off fighting the winner of JMM vs Diaz, then that's all good.

Fighting Khan would've been a huge fight though and Kats would be getting by far his biggest payday ever. Team Khan should come back with a bigger offer.

Everything I've heard from Katsidis gives me the impression that he wants to prove he's the best lightweight in the world and I'm pretty certain he's more interested in the Marquez v Diaz 2 winner. Fair enough in my view, seeing as they are at least in the same weight division as him. I really do like Khan, but if he fights Casamayor now he'll go way, way down in my estimation.

that's too fickle. Khan just fought Malignaggi, now you like him. Two months later he fights Casamayor, then he'll go way, way down in your estimation. Then a few months later he'll take a big fight and you'll be his biggest fan all of a sudden?

If you understand boxing and how fighters set up their fights, you might avoid this kind of rollercoaster.

  13. Katsidis' camp said they never got an offer. I find it hard to believe a warrior like Michael would turn down that kind of money. Seems to me like Khan's camp is cherrypicking with the lesser risk.

yes i think the article is bull**** katsidis called him out and from what iv seen katsidis has never ducked an opponent its notin his nature and 500 g is good money for him and beating a guy like khan can take him onto bigger and better fights khan sen how he made mitchell quit within 3 rounds his team is surely thinking "this is risky over 12 rounds"

casamayor is more of a notable..and safe bet more than a surprising Katsidis.

Khan being tech against casamayor being tech is easy...youth prevails.

Katsidis had casmayor...he just got over anxious and sloppy trying to finish him.
but...katsidis can get through the screen of technicality and land those heavy shots.

khan vs. casamayor will be a bright light in whats to come... because i got no faith in maidana
hit way to easy. and khan don't throw light.
