Michael Katsidis vs Antonio Demarco

He was but Valero managed to set some traps and lure him into shots. Whilst he didn't take a horrific beating, I think he showed a good chin when he was hit, by a good puncher in Valero.

 

Linares is better than Katsidis. That much is fairly obvious.

I assumed you were insinuating that my post was what would prompt Flea to reveal his true feelings about Linares.

 

Nah i was awaiting his post cos i always enjoy when he goes into one about a fighter whether i agree or not. I personally think Linares is a good fighter and was gutted he lost. Flea won't agree obviously but i can understand he has a different criteria for someone being good in his book compared to mine and yours.

 

In any event, I'm looking forward to hearing his reasoning for why Katsidis would beat Linares.

Personally i'd like to see that fight after Katsidis beats Burns.

 

I think Flea, like myself, can admit that Linares is a good fighter(he's not much better than that though), he merely calls him ''crap'' as a contrast to the ludicrous acclaim Linares was receiving, which he didn't warrant in the slightest.

 

"Was" being the operative word. He can forget that campaign now, surely.

 

I can understand not liking a fighter if they get hyped to a level they don't deserve but that's boxing the kid ain't only one nor last. I enjoyed Linares early work lost track of him admittedly over last 18 months but i like watching him.

 

No, Addie, he's still **** FFS, and in noway 'better' than Katsidis. Based on? He has done nothing, shown little, has little substance, and has been stopped in far more worrying fashion against poor opposition.

Linares is flashier than Katsidis yes, but Just another contender, and one that hasn't proven himself. I actually can't believe what I'm reading to be honest.

 

And how would Katsidis beat him? Linares is vulnerable, doesn't hit that hard, and Katsidis would grind him down. Linares isn't even as good as Guerrero IMO.

Okay, so he had some good rounds against DeMarco and Juarez. He'd done nothing before that, and got blasted by the (apparently average, only seenhim twice) Salgado.

I think Kats would stop him. De'M was pretty lucky that he pounced on his opponent's weakness. Kats would never show weakness.
