For Soto's WBC lightweight belt. I don't wanna see kat go into obscurity after a performance like that. Soto has been clamoring for a high profile fight and he's crowned too. HBO should and IMO would drop a couple $$ on this to make it happen, and so it should. Plus, it would be a significant battle and very entertaining. The winner could fight guerrero to establish who will take marquez's place when he moves on.
great idea. I think Marquez should fight a 140 pounder and reach a 4th tittle instead of sticking around. 135Lbs is still hot though dont get me wrong.
Katsidis would be the man at 135 if not for Marquez, he'd beat Soto. I really thought the emotional drama would carry Michael over Marquez, but JMM is just that good to outdo a great fighter fighting a near perfect fight. Michael did everything right, and still only walked away winning only one to two rounds the whole fight.

Thankfully, there's no chance of Katsidis fading into obscurity. When you're as entertaining as he is, as well as a very good fighter, you're always going to get big fights. I'd watch Katsidis reading the phone book. Him against Rios or the Soto-Antillon winner is gauranteed action.
Katisidis needs a new trainer before anything else. He just runs in without jabbing and pushes his opponents into a corner, then for some reason, doesn't punch.
Kat would win if he's not effected by that beating. Soto is mediocre as hell, and Kat gave Marquez a MUCH tougher fight last night than Soto woulda given Marquez.
