Burns took the 9th. Katsidis tried to steal it but Burns landed the better, harder punches.

Kats tired. He gave up the first minute of the round and thus lost it. 6-3 Burns.

    Round 9

Burns circles right and jabs, then turns left. Katsidis can't get inside, or hasn't really started trying yet. Burns is on the jab, landing well. Big combo by Burns using just the right hand, an overhand that then yo-yos around into an uppercut. Jabs by Burns. Katsidis hasn't landed through a minute. Burns 1-2. Katsidis suddenly charges forward and drives Burns back to the ropes, throwing to the body. Tie up. Burns jabs Katsidis in the face. Left hook to the hip by Burns. Uppercut by Burns catches Katsidis on the jaw coming in. Katsidis sticks his elbows out and crashes his gloves down on Burns' high guard. Right hand counter by Burns. Body shots by Katsidis. Awkward shots all over the place by Katsidis on the inside. More textbook stuff by Burns, short uppercuts and reach-down left hooks. They stand toe to toe with Katsidis slapping him across the face with a soft right. Good jab by Burns, and a right uppercut, and a left hook. Right hand by Katsidis. Burns hammers with a 1-2 against the top of Katsidis' back and then steps away before Katsidis can retaliate.

    10-9 Burns

    86-85 Burns

Round 9 a definite Burns round. Katsidis needs something big. I'm sure he is down big on the judges' scorecards.

6-3 burns he should get this now... as long as he stays strong and keeps up the tempo.

9th may have been the sweetest round of Burns' career.
