Michael Katsidis vs Ricky Hatton?

His style doesn't not consist of mauling and elbowing. I love it how people come on here and just make things up to sound good. He never clinches like hatton and keeps a tight guard in close. This is a very tough fight for both guys. Kat has the power while Hatton has the stamina. Kat is a solid inside fighter and this would be an absolute war. LMAO at people calling Katsidis a mauling fighter in a thread mentioning Hatton.

 

Amonsot is a totally different fighter to Hatton. Hatton isn't a puncher and Katsidis has shown no signs of a suspect chin. Katsidis is a big guy for 135 and I have no doubt what so ever that he could move up a mere 5 pounds with ease. This fight would be great.

 

So your basing your opinion on ONE FIGHT? LMAO AT YOU! I can't believe you are trying to argue that Hatton is a puncher. He beats guys through an accumulation of punishment, not one punch KO power.

Manners are not a hard thing to use,i disagreed with mightyd40,but aint gonna jump all over him about it,its his opinion,seems a real nasty lack of respect of late in these here forums.

I aint that perfect myself (believe it or not LOL),but off late have decided to be play nice and fair,i think we all should do the same unless of course someones trolling the posts,then they deserve nothing but hate on there arses.

 

Hatton is not a puncher..he landed the perfect punch at the perfect time..never happend before..probably wont happen again..the punch wasnt even all that hard....it was well timed and on the right spot....to the body when castillo did not see it...HATTON IS NOT A BIG PUNCHER...COTTO is a puncher..hatton is a swarmer....he swarms guys muscles them around the ring..takes them out of the fight mentally with his physical strength..And that guy is katsadis is a beast...he is a smart ass fighter if you look at the timed counter punches that he landed he set traps for the other dude..he mixes it up...he can go in and get dirty and go on the outside and T off on you...I think Mike has a shot....he got the punch and the timing..and he is very physically strong though one problem...THE OTHER GUY DID NOT THROW ONE SINGLE BODY SHOT..ME AND MY BROTHER WAS LAUGHING AT THAT. I AM TALKING NOT ONE IN LIKE 3 ROUNDS STR8...MAYBE B/C HE WAS TARGETING THE EYE..BUT STILL..YOU GOT TO MIX IT UP..

 

Yes Hatton is not a puncher and yet his punches is much powerful than Amonsot. The K.O. percentage comparison between the two should prove that. Bro. what ever Amonsot can do . . . Hatton can do it better . . . in fact in all aspect of the game.

That's just my line of arguement here.

Agreed that Hatton is a class above Amonsot, although I think Amonsot wasn't a light puncher by any means. I think Hatton wins this as well, I woudl just be suprised if he KO's Katsidis. I think it will be a bloody war all the way. I hope this happens down the track.

The thing is...amonstot was a sharp quick puncher that can let off COMBINATIONS and fight backing up..They are two things hatton cannot do..fight backing up(not saying he would have to) and throw quick combos...hatton is one and done...Hit..hold..repeat...may put two punches together if you get lazy and dont keep your guard up....no comparison...Amonstot was on his toes..hatton is never on his toes and his footwork is as goofy as I have ever seen ...he is off rythm and that may be the secret to his success..lol..

 

Fair enough it just really annoys me when a great down to earth guy like Katsidis who has a very exciting fighting style gets put down by people for things that don't even happen. He said how arrogant he is and it is complete rubbish. He is very down to earth, and if you listened to interviews with him you would realise he is probably one of the most likeable guys in boxing. They say he fights with elbow and mauling and it doesn't even happen. I hate it when people have to make things up to form an opinion, because if someone hasn't seen Katsidis and reads it they are lead to believe that he may fight this way, which as I said is not true one bit.

he is a mauling fighter and i never said hatton wasnt. i think hatton will win because he seems bigger and better overall. my post was about my reasoning for not liking him, which stems from his attitude and his elbows. read into it a little more before u accuse me of trying to "sound good"
