Katsidis is agressive and punches hard, whether that will win him this fight will all depend on how much age has affected Marquez. If Marquez comes in looking like he did in the later rounds of the Diaz fight, Katsidis has a chance, but if Marquez looks comfortable and is fighting gamely, Katsidis has no chance. Marquez from the Casamayor fight would slaughter Katsidis, picking him off with hard, accurate shots and eventually knocking him out in the later rounds. Whether Marquez can do that now is a different story, but as I said before, it all depends on how much he has deteriorated.

As tough and determined as Katsidis is, and as much of a warrior spirit he possesses, I think Katsidis will get beaten very badly. I'm kind of feeling a dominant Marquez win here. A clinic in counterpunching for as long as it lasts.

They said the same thing about him fighting Casa and Juan is a better Counter puncher ,Kat is dead this fight sorry. Next Pacman.

I do look forward to seeing it because this has truly become a boxing month ,I don't know if I can take anymore.

I agree Kat is stronger, hungrier, and fresher even though he's had his share of wars and tough fights. But Marquez has the skills and abilities to nuturalize Kats strengths.

Katsidis style is made for the Marquez's counter punching. Let's not forget that Kat is a notorious bleeder as well. I know Marquez has alot of scar tissue and cuts as well, but not as easy as Kat.

Marquez doesn't start off fast as most Mexican fighters, so Kat has a chance to do something in the very early rounds. But if can't do something significant Marquez will start timing him and more than likely finish him around the 8th. Kat is a warrior and does have a chance of pulling it out, but like i said he has to do something in the early rounds.

Sure Kat is young and strong, just like Davey Moore against an aging Duran. I think it will end in the same fashion.

    Its gonna be FOTY

This fight will be like the JUAN DIAZ fight but last much longer... I expect both men to go down.. and KATS to finally get KO'ed in the end.

    It will not end fast.

Also LAZ don't look at JUAN diaz pt 2 to see how JMM will fight. DIAZ did not want to get into exhanges it was more of aboxing fest then the first one.

The reason it happened like that is because JMM damaged juan mentally after the first fight.. Juan was a Boxer Puncher and very aggresive before JMM

After he turned into a pure boxer and was scared to engage like before...

    Fight 1 and fight 2

Juan is a completely differnt fighter and no huger after that devastating KO

my money is on marquez also. he's a class above and an excellent aggressive counter puncher. it's a fight for marquez to lose depending on if he still has a spring in his step because katsidis's style is right down JMM's alley.

Katsidis has to jump on Marquez early in the fight. That's his best hope IMO. Juan Manuel takes a little time to have a look, get his range and timing right and that's when he's easiest to hit. Once Marquez figures out Katsidis it's over. He'll counter Kats like crazy and rip him with the best combinations in the game.

Yeah, because Katsidis has such a long history of knocking out elite opponents who have never been KO'ed.:rofl

Katsidis makes it entertaining, but gets a bad beating until he is stopped in the late rds.

Good points. I forgot about some stuff. Katsidis does slow in the later rounds. That could make me change my prediction.

If Kats has a chance, then he has it in rounds 1-6.

I need to watch some more tapes of Kats and see when he roughly starts to deteriorate.

Even at 37 Juan Manuels ring inteeligence and counterpunching abilit ,along with his tuoghtness will be too much for Katsidis. Katsidis may have his moments early. Once Marquez figures him out he will break him down in the mid to late rounds. Marquez by ko!
