I'm Marquez' biggest fan on this board, and believe me, if Marquez loses to Katsidis, his claim amongst the elite end right there.

Upsets do happen but any seasoned boxing observer will not be fooled by Katsidis' chanes against JMM.

Katsidis is tailor-made for JMM, his style gives JMM a boner.

Marquez has been well on the slide, he is 37, he is in his third weight class and Katsidis is now pretty experienced yet still young, strong, a big lightweight, probably highly motivated, possibly at a stylistic advantage as a fast starter against a slow starter...I am going to bet on Marquez by knockout anyway but if Katsidis does finally get his day emphatically, it wouldn't surprise me.

 

I hope he does but at the same time it's just great to see a fellow Aussie stepping up and taking on such a challenge.

If Kat's brings this home he'll have achieved a helluva lot.

I think most can agree that either way, we will see a ******* of a fight between two great personalities and champs in the sport

 

That Pacquiao highlight was on the video I posted for you........and it actually even gives more credence to the greatness of Marquez that he could rise from such knockdown at the hands of Pacquiao, dust himself off, and go on to administer Pacquiao a boxing lesson as if the knockdown never happened.:yep

I like Marquez a lot and I feel its unfortunate he's been on the **** end of the stick a lot in his career, but Katsidis is one of the most likeable people in Boxing, and with the recent passing of his brother, I want him to win soo bad.

 

It's possible, Marquez is at that point in his career when you can't help but wonder at every fight if age has finally caught up with him. I wouldn't be surprised with any result to be honest. It's going to be a great fight!

 

This will be a great fight and carries with it many possibilities.
