In your biased eyes, the fight was blowout, but everyone knew it was close and the knockdown was the clincher for Pac. I don't think highlighting Marquez's good moments in the fight will tell the whole story that it was close. Come on, it was anybody's game, and i won't feel bad if Marquez won that close fight. The fact is the judges who were at arm's length decided it in Pac's favor. Crying for all your life for what mght have been will not reverse the results. Just pray that they agree to a rematch and we'll see if it will be different. But I am sure you yourself won't bet on your boy this time.

Katsidis gets cut up too easily. Escobedo is no power puncher, made it look like he'd been beating Katsidis with a baseball bat after their fight, and he lost it. Imagine someone with Marquez's power and accuracy hitting Katsidis all night long. This is gonna be ugly, probably a swelling/cut stoppage.

Well, Katsidis did shock the world when he got knocked out by Casamayor in a fight Kats was on his way to winning.

You'd have to pull for the Greek because of the circumstances surrounding the fight, but Marquez is the solid favorite for a reason. Maybe he can spring a punch much like the one Casa pulled on him, to get the "W".

He may very well beat Marquez and with that you would have to consider him as a strong candidate for Fighter Of The Year. I know everybody likes Martinez and people say he has it locked up (and the few that actually say Pacquiao    ) but Katsidis has already stopped Mitchell and if he did stop JMM that's a hell of a resume, especially, if he actually KO's JMM Martinez style. :admin

its going to be tough, but seeing how juan diaz did against marquez in their first fight it's definitely possible. if he's able to put as much intelligent pressure on marquez as diaz did and avoid getting hit too much he has a shot at knocking him out.

marquez is a better boxer and has great precision, but katsidis is tough as hell and hits hard (much harder than diaz). one thing's for sure, it's going to be a hell of a fight. :bbb

I don't think this fight will be that great. I think JMM is just a class above Katsidis.

Don't get me wrong, Katsidis is one of my favourite active fighters. What is not to like about him? Exciting fighter, who always gives it 110%, will fight anyone, and is a great guy as well.

But JMM has hung with the best. I'm expecting a Mayweather-Baldomir style mismatch (but with JMM making it a more exciting win)

Of course if Katsidis wins I will be really happy for him, and my mind will be blown with his prospects.

It'll be a very similiar match, styilistically, which is the reason why everyone is so pumped for it.

    2 FOTY's in one night.

fact: marquez has never been knocked out
fact: katsidis will not be the first to do it

therefore: marquez wins via UD or late KO/TKO

Depends what Marquez shows up? If The boxer, counter punching, and patient version of Marquez shows up, Marquez wins a competitive but unanimous decision. If marquez decides to brawl and fight Katsidi's fight, it can get very interesting. Katsidis will have the advantage in a brawl mainly due to his age and strength at this point in their careers. Should be a great fight because both these men have tons of heart!

Has FOTY written all over it.
