A past his prime Joe Calzaghe mopped the floor with a prime 20 something Kessler. Calzaghe was on a different level. He always was.
I still know you're as ignorant as one can be. The only fighter from 147 to 168 I'd worry that could (too tough to call) possibly trouble ggg is Calzaghe
You can make fun of most people, but Kessler is NOT someone you should make fun of. Great exciting style, the most humble guy, and just the nicest guy you can find in boxing. Salute the Viking warrior :nod
Ugh, bite your tongue. Even the worst Volbeat stuff >>>>> anything Godsmack ever performed (except maybe when they were doing AiC covers before they got famous, but even those were shoddy bastardizations of the originals)
Not only that but their name always reminded me of Voivod another band I don't like. They're better than Godsmack, but the singer's voice has always annoyed me, the only guy in rock truly capable of singing rockabilly is Mike Ness.:deal
I've always thought of Michael Poulsen as being the Danish answer to Josh Homme. Both started in very heavy bands with massive underground cred (psychedelic/desert/stoner-rock pioneers Kyuss and groove/thrash/late-Carcass-style-death-rock outfit Dominus, respectively) before tiring of it - and the music biz in general, both were ready to quit - and opting to go for a far more commercial sound, which, ironically struck a chord with a wide audience to bring them exponentially greater success and longevity. (Queens of the Stone Age, like Volbeat, appealing to both the original fans of Kyuss and Dominus who begrudgingly tolerated and had to admit the newer output from their idols was pretty good, for how radio-friendly it was, and simultaneously providing the everyday schmo with something he could listen to with a bit of a harder edge than what they're used to but still not off-putting and crazy "extreme") You also find the same pattern with Dax Riggs. Achieved legendary status with Acid Bath, then made progressively wussier music as time went on after their breakup. :yep
I loved Kyuss I got that CD for Christmas in '94 and I've always preferred them to QOTSA for the very reasons you listed, Josh the sellout isn't nearly as good as John Garcia.:bart There's just something about Michael I don't like Dominus either.
I really don't like seeing Kessler ripped on, probably the only guy that I'll feel a little peeved about. Mayweather deserves it slightly for his off the ring antics, Broner definitely does, DSG does, Wilder does to a degree. KESSLER DOES NOT!!! Not in any way
