I really hope Pacquaio goes free agent. Nothing to stop him doing so and he could still work with Top Rank on a fight to fight basis but not be bound to them for his last few fights.

 

it would be cool wouldnt it? remains to be seen if theres actually a chance or its just koncz talking out of his ass(would be no suprise)

at least then wed know theres a chance....if it were to happen and floyd bowed out....id have to eat crow....because unlike the pac trolls around here im a mature adult who can admit when im wrong......oh well....we shall see

 

I'm just a fan with no business accumen but it must be more beneficial for Pac to go out on his own at this stage. He can keep the TR association like Mayweather does for GB. Added advantages = Pac can fight far wider range of opponents, can probably fight on showtime more easily if required, doesn't have to be giving big cuts to Arum each fight. Pacquaio is a household name now and his fights will largely sell themselves: I'm sure MP promotions can handle the promotional side of the fights as well as TR can for fraction of the cost, and HBO or Showtime could do the 24/7 side of things anyway.

 

Even if he does not fight floyd, he can end his career with meaningful fights.

Will Pac's cuts be healed by then?

 

I remember years ago Leonard Ellerbe went on public record urging Pacquiao to do this.

Telling him he needs to ask Bob questions and his management telling Pacquiao and advising him, that for the amount of PPV buys he was raking in, his purses should have been much higher. Its online somewhere google the clip.

At the end of the day get past the Arrogance, the Flash, the smack talking TMT are a good set of guys trying to change the sport for the better by setting a precedent and example on how to conduct business. Too many Boxers have damaged themselves, their bodies, their health only not to have anything to show for it.


TMT is paving the way it is only a matter time before other guys follow suit, and discover their worth. This was a long time coming for Pac, good for him.

 

If Pac self-promotes himself, this fight will happen.

 

Talk is cheap. Lets see what actually happens.
