whats your thoughts on this guy last night i thought what a whinging little baby and you saw Booth was disppointed in him TBH i didnt think he was much special and felt Ancliff got the draw
when ive seen him in the past he's looked alot better than that. anybody know what his problems have been? should have fought at the last hayemaker show but didnt for some reason. also he looked a bit fleshy.
I haven't seen it. Was it one of those where the journeyman outboxes the young pup but the ref manages to see a 10-10 round out of nowhere?
Heard he was a good am. He didn't look as if he had grown out of am's to be complaining to his trainer every round. He didn't look like he had trained right for the fight and coming in at 4 pounds over expected weight shows that. He gassed after the 1st round and thats the only round i give him. IMO Antclife won. Needs to get his act together. Booth seemed pissed and rightly so.
kinda i had it 2-2 on rounds but the ref gavie it 2-1-1 to maguire if anyone won it it was Ancliff IMO but Maguire stormed out of the ring when the bell rang to finish it and Ancliff was offfered a rematch by Booth who said it should have been a draw
I think this is one of the reasons people are put off boxing. It happened on the ITV show a bit ago when Mo Khalid embarrassed a kid and ''lost'' - Dominic Ingle's face was a picture. Combination of anger and disbelief! It's ****ing ridiculous. If you lose, you lose. Giving a house fighter the nod does neither him, nor the sport any good. Sometimes, it will serve as a warning, the kid gets his act together and improves.... often he will simply become sloppy and just assume the ref will be his tagteam partner. But why do they do it? Do they get a brown envelope? A promoter will obviously want his fighters to win, but will know himself whether his guy has actually done the job. By the sounds of these posts it would suggest he didn't. I have been a critic of Booth in the past.... but fair play to him for offering the guy a rematch. I like the way they match the guys properly instead of just feeding them smaller/feather fisted or simply **** opponents as pretty much everyone else does.
yeh its **** but atleast a home fighter lost instead Curtis Woodhouse who was a dirty ***** and a cocky ****
he comes across cocky to me but maybe thats just for the cameras but his fouling in the ring was terrible
It makes a change somebody other than DeGale copping it for being cocky! Looking forward to next week anyways....
