Very talented fighter, but lacks the dedication required to get to the top. His cousin Terry Holmes is super talented also but again lacks dedication and focus.

 

Michael is a talented boxer but as already said perhaps his dedication in the past may of not been the best . lets hope he can really kick on in the sport now

 

A colleague of mine who uses the same gym mentioned he is an absolute pain in the aris.

A Blsck personal trainer was using the ring for a class when he wanted to use it so he starts calling the guy a ****** and saying how he would knock the **** out.

Then goes on Facebook saying how everyone in peterborough is clueless and twats basically.

And now he is in the paper saying how he wants the whole of peterborough to support him.

Fair to say I won't be buying tickets for one of his shows.

 

Starred out work is about the most racist thing you could say about a black person.

 

I remember him being touted for london olympics a few years bk in the abas and david haye was ringside coz he wanted him for hayemaker which ended up happening but Luke campbell who was underdog gave him a boxing lesson

 

Campbell gave him a boxing lesson for 2 rounds then Maguire was coming on strong in last round those body shots were taken there toll on Campbell.

 

He was smoking when he was 15/16 when he was smashing his way through people. Never been dedicated as he should be. Lads talented but talent is only a small part of the sport when your not training as hard as you should be etc.

 

Iv got a video of the fight here to be honest he came on strong in the last coz he waa desperate just like weaver in the last when he boxed campbell but i dont think anything took its toll on him he seemed very comfotable throughout

 

i rmeber seeing his fight with James Ancliffe, and he was very,very lucky to get the decision i thought , im sure booth said something similer at the end of the fight .

Haven't seen the Campbell fight but maguire does shoot to the body very well
