I think he took it because he’d been embarrassed by Tarver.

I think he wanted to get in the ring ASAP to eradicate the loss.

It should never have been allowed to happen though.

 

Jones was far more skilled than Moorer at 175, Moorer was hurt by Swindell who would have been dominated by Jones, Roy was a far better fighter than Moorer and would have beaten Foreman in `94.

Guys...Jones beat Pazienza...ONESIDED.

 

Moorer was a devastating offensive force at LightHeavy. Its a bridge too far for Jones. MM had some speed in those days as well. Jones doesmt take this fight IMO. Roy was many things but dumb wasnt one of them.

 

For that we owe him. He was doing God's work. It was fun to watch because Vinny fall down.

 

Great combos but would only have a chance a landing them on Jones if he was pinned on the ropes, however Jones couldn`t control the space between himself and his opponet and just kept jabbing to keep them off whch is dangerous because when you punch you can be countered, that`s the only way Moorer could have caught Roy.

 

Roy was a lot quicker than Moorer but probably would have ducked him.

 

Moorer would have beat Paz one-side too and before you talk about size Jones wa far bigger than the blown up lightweigt Paz, Vinny was not world class at super-middle at all.

 

I dont care. It was a Godly act.
