They would all be successful in their own way but to exactly what extent I’m not sure. A lot of it would depend on exactly when they peaked during those given decades and who they were facing. Generally speaking I would Pick Ali, Holmes, Foreman and Liston to beat them all as long said champions weren’t past it. Frazier might be able to do it too but may struggle with some of them. As far as the rest of the 60s and 70s crowd versus those guys, you’d likely end up with a mixed bag of results.

just pulling one matchup out of the hat, Mercer vs Lyle would have been one hell of a fun fight to watch

I don't think those guys had the footspeed or mobility to do all that well.
