Sweet baby jesus! That would be something special. 2 very skilled power punchers. I can't call it.

I was bored, and I started to have a look at the old good Moorer's early carreer at LHW.

Moorer debutted and knocked out 12 guys in 1988, winning this very year the WBO LHW world title :roto2lol:
then he knocked out 6 guys in 1989
then he knocked out 4 guys in 1990
and moved to HW because there was nothing else left to be knocked out in light heavy weight. He was only 23.

Beterviev has 16 fights in his whole carreer, and he's 36.

Moore moved up because he was completely drained at lhw, not because he cleaned out the division. He captured one title that didn’t even mean much at the time and didn’t fight any big names. He was a much better heavyweight. He was a lot more active than Beterbiev, but he’s much less proven at lhw

as if beterbiev were proven at lhw. When you say that beterbiev is proven, you mean that he has fought gvozdyk. In 8 years as a pro.

Beterbiev took 4 years to take the IBF title. He's 36, he has fought 16 fights. Moorer, in 9 months won the WBO title, defended it 10 times in 2 years and moved. He was drained? yes, sure. Could anyone win to moorer at lhw? no way. He was better as HW? yes. Still he's better lhw than beterbiev.

Moorer never beat anyone as good as Gvozdyk. Yea he got the WBO belt which didn’t mean much at the time and defended it against bums. Other than that he didn’t really accomplish much at lhw

Beterbiev, Moorer was a great fighter but he's not in the same league for pure power.

yes, probably winning the wbo title in 9 months, defending it 10 times in 2 years, and having 100% ko and move up. Everything being 23 years old, is not to acomplish very much at lhw.

Beterbiev, taking 4 years of smashing tomatos to face his first IBF title, and 8 years of smashing tomatos to fight his first living body probably agrees with you.

Well that’s 1 more live body than Moorer has. You keep bringing up activity as if that’s such a huge factor here.

one more living body, after 8 years.

well, it seems we are not going to agree. So no problem.

And ofc activity is a huge factor. It's not the same to fight once a year as fighting 3 times a month. It's not the same to face your first important challenge 9 months after your debut as to face it 4 years after your debut. It's not the same to defend your titlte 10 times in 2 years and move up as to defend your title once a year and stay there just because you dont feel like/cant do anything else.

The difference between moorer and beterbiev is huge, so huge that being 23 years old one had nothing left/interesting to do in lhw (edit: I admit here my fanboy-ism) and moved, and the other one we had to wait until he was 36 and 8 years after his debut to fight a living body.
