Nearly a decade later and this post is completely on the money, minus Haye's non event performance vs Wlad. Haye did achieve next to nothing at Heavyweight unless you rate his win over Chisora as worth anything. It's probably his best win at the weight.
Haye got legimately dropped, hurt and stopped by Tony Bellew. Moorer being stopped by Foreman, Holyfield and Tua isn't as bad as that.
I liked Moorer from his Stewart and Cooper brawls but he got way too cautious afterwards. Maybe it helped him. Who am I kidding, OF COURSE his safety approach helped him. But I actually see this fight maybe going a similar route to the aforementioned with both men tasting the canvas. That's if Moorer came to brawl and Haye would have no choice but to oblige Moorer in brawling. Moorer KO7 Haye
Haye was quicker, but Moorer is way more skilled fighter. That's why at 37 ovderweight Moorer was able to KO Jirov, while Haye at the same age was KO'd by lesser fighter Tony Bellew. Once Haye lost his speed and reflexes, he became very orfinary fighter.
I agree with this, but my issue is that Haye could really punch, and was accurate as well. His straight right is a punch he was good at landing consistently and was Moorer's weakness. I can see Moorer getting clipped by it repeatedly and Haye taking him out. But then can also see Moorer winning in a fire fight.
Haye quicker but Moorer the better boxer. A disciplined patient Moorer who won HW Title from Holyfield would beat Haye on pts. The other version who brawled with Cooper and Stewart more vulnerable but still with Moorer but with knockdowns and by ko.
