Michael Moorer vs Eddie Mustafa Muhammad????? Are you kidding???? Eddie would have casually outclassed Moorer before dispatching him in 6, maybe sooner. A mismatch, no matter how good you might think MM was at lightheavy..a mismatch.
We should just have a stipulation that says prime Eddie Mustafa Muhammad wins every round of every fight against every opponent, and if he loses then he wasn’t prime. Unfortunately, he didn’t take his career seriously enough to have a prime and he only showed up in shape and focused every so often to create this myth that he’s some unbeatable monster. For the record, on his fantasy fight I say Eddie shows up at 185 pounds, can’t make weight and it’s called off.
Mustafa by stoppage. 175 Moorer fought like Marvin Johnson. Mustafa has the great chin to take anything Moorer can dish out and lands precise counters to the head and body to slow Moorer down. Then, he cleans up.
No, Moorer was very carefully managed at Light Heavy, and still had a sticky spell or two. At 175 EMM would have had a night off, schooling the youngster. But as mentioned things would have been different when MM moved up to Heavy and matured a bit more.
