Michael Moorer won a close decision over Holyfield in 1994. Moorer was dropped in the 2nd and did just enough to keep the fight close one way or the other. A case can be made that Holyfield did enough for the win. Some felt the fight was even. Moorer was dethroned by George Foreman in his first defense later that year. Moorer regained a piece of the HW title (IBF) when he beat Axel Schulz for the vacant title in 1996. He beat Frans Botha KO11 and Vaughn Bean (close decision) before being dethroned by Evander Holyfield in 1997. He also beat Alex Stewart KO4, Bonecrusher Smith W10, Bert Cooper KO5, and V. Jirov KO9. Who wins? Moorer is a little taller, has a little bit longer reach, and is about 30 Lbs. heavier.

did we ever see moorer outboxed? I don't think we did. he had an exceptional jab and good quick hands that he could let go. that being said I don't think he ever beat anyone as skilled as charles. I know he did beat Holy but that version of holy was a far cry from just a year previous. Moorer could have stopped Holy if he went for it that night. I take Charles by hard fought decision, around the region of 9-6.
Charles is greated but Moorer might win this, I'm not sure though, tough one but you have a 220lb Moorer against a 180lb Charles, big advantage in weight for Moorer
he beat the almost dying (for whatever reason) version of holyfield...than 3 years later he got run over by post tyson holy.
I see Charles setting traps in this and eventually one of them works and he gets the stoppage win. Very good interesting fight while it lasts, but I like the guys who can set traps aginst Moorer.
