This one where I can pick Moorer for once. I think he would have consistantly done a jabbing number of Frank and would have won a decision, unless Bruno got lucky with a bomb.
I would actually pick Bruno in about three. A terrible fight for Moorer even if Moorer is a better overall athlete. He's going to get caught. He's going to get hurt, and he will get finished when he does. I wouldn't be surprised with a Tua type of blowout.
Holyfield's sharpness in his punching is great but he never, and I mean never, had the brute force of a true heavyweight puncher. His knockouts were more a product of skill, timing, combinations that saw you hit with full-bodied shots before you could brace yourself after the last one. THBE: The Holyfield Bobblehead Effect. This is more the stereotypical puncher you'd worry about with Moorer, Bruno is. The Moorer who fought Holy in the first match, just going from fallible memory, because I really didn't enjoy the fight, didn't even get to see the consistently snappy punching version of Holyfield that people were used to, for a variety of likely reasons, and wasn't tested nearly as he would've been if he did meet that Holyfield. But it's a moot point regardless, because of an enormous difference in brute force that I would see making the difference. I feel Bruno is comparable to the Tua's and Shavers...Shavers's. Shaverse. Shavenes. Anyway, I just think it's a terrible match for MM that will almost certainly favour him getting hurt too much to survive as opposed to him simply using his more educated footwork, speed advantage and jab. I see him getting crushed, early, best for best.
If anything i see Bruno Koing Moorer, for once Bruno would be facing someone with a worse chin than his own. Bruno had good 1-2 and a big right hand, perfect for a southpaw. But if it goes into the trenches then Brunos heart might come into it (or lack of). I think the Bruno who came to fight Tyson in 89 ****s Moorer up.
This is a good matchup moorer in my opinion the better boxer Bruno the bigger puncher. Moorer could be knocked out by a single shot but I gotta go with Moorer on this one. He makes it late and eventually freezes Frank with a righthook and stops him.
Bruno is a fast starter and Moorer a chinny slow starter. I go with Bruno within three. If it makes it past three or four, Moorer takes it.
Bruno was outboxing Lewis before getting stopped, and stood toe to toe with Tyson and rocked him before finally succumbing to the bombs, so Bruno was no mug. I honestly think Moorer gets ****ed up. Bruno, even in his best performances always came to.fight and could handle himself. Moorer, even at his best was lazy, see Holyfield 1. Bruno can box a bit, and can bang and i don't think his chin is all that bad, remember the guys who stopped him were monster punchers. Both Tyson and Lewis would have taken Moorers head clean off and very early too.
If Moorer doesn't get too c***y I see him comfortably out boxing Bruno. If he does, and tries for the KO, it would be him looking up at the lights, not Frank.
Bruno always found a way to lose to classy Heavyweights anywhere near their pomp. I am sure he will have his moments and may even build up a big lead, but the Bomber will blow it, probably on a late stoppage.
If Moorer boxed he could win a decision. If he stands in front of Frank, Bruno certainly had the power to take him out. I think prime for prime, if he fights the right fight, Moorer could win a close decision. Basically, Moorer's whole heavyweight career was made by the first Holyfield fight, a fight in which Holyfield didn't seem to fight his best.
