Toney should win, although that version of Toney was depressed and not motivated to fight. Griffen could give anyone fits who wasnt prepared, but in this case I would probably go with Toney, Moorer was too offensive minded and Toney is just too slick against offensive fighters.
Moorer throws 1-2's all night and all Toney does is look to answer those straight darts coming at him with a single right hand. That won't be nearly enough on the scorecards. Moorer is way too accurate in there and I think the Toney shoulder roll and body lean is more effective against a traditional stance guy throwing right hands.
i think this fight is full if`s ,if moorer has his head together has got his weight-making right ,if toney is motivated and has trained well.IF everything is 100% with both fighters i like toney by close decision
Although Michael Moorer was looking rather menacing at LH, I felt that he was rather unproven in this weight class. He never went the distance against a truly solid member of the division, and his only win of note was over Leslie Stewart who was past his prime and had him outboxed for most of the match. Moorer isn't knocking out Toney, who has managed to survive well over 70 pro fights without a single stoppage. Toney's experience by the time he had ascended to LH completely eclipsed anything that Moorer had to offer with only 20 pro bouts ( most of which against mediocrities. ) I'm going with Toney via decision.
magoo has it in spades! ... moorer is totally unproven at 175 .. yeah toney at the TIME he fought at 175 was depressed ect ect .. but are we talking about the 2 figheters well trained and jacked to the gills ready to fight .. or are we talking about them as they were at 175??
