I agree, not really that close. Moorer wins in an 8-4 type fight. Moorer ain't a lumbering Peter or an ancient Holyfield

Of course Holyfield was the betting favourite, how could you doubt a fighter who had spent years making fools out of the many so called experts? Obviously many thought that he would do so again here, but this was the night the whole world knew the journey was over. All great things must come to an end & for Holyfield, the end of his days as an elite fighter came on October 4th 2003.

Nah, Holyfield was done at elite level, in fact his license was suspended on medical grounds following his next fight, having won just two of his previous 9 bouts. The athletic commission stated Holyfield should not be fighting & it was their responsibility to save a fighter from himself & Holyfield's trainer at the time, Don Turner, echoed those words.

I think Moorer wins and more easily than people think. It was his natural weight and he was more proven at that weight. He was also the one that imho wins the eye test between the two, at that weight. I agree that Moorer's sharp jab would be a problem.

Who said elite? He still would’ve been competitive w Rahman, Maskaev, and McCline. He came back and almost beat Valuev.

He had a worsening shoulder injury post Toney and looked horrible against movers.

In my opinion, this was a more healthy and better prepared Hoylfield than against Byrd.
