I like Moorer performances at LHW......he had power that could match Spinks power.....But Spink´s jab and movement make him hard to hit and his ring generalship was one of his great attributes..... Spinks by decision (clear) in my opinion....
good call the thing i would add is if spinks is outboxing moorer and has built up a good lead by the 9th would moorer's fragile self belief desert him
Bem falado, cara.Dou razao cem por cento. In my opinion,Spinks is one of the top 5 lightheavies ever and the points you made are the reasons why.People forget that Michael had a great chin at 175,also.Until of course he runs into someone named Tyson.
Moorer would win the first two or three rounds while Spinks was warming up.Around the fifth, Spinks would beginning catching him, and in the sixth or seventh, Spinks would coldcock Moorer.
A great question and match-up. Moorer was dangerous at this weight, but I gotta agree with the other guys that Spinks would win. He was way more established at this weight, so I feel I know him better here, and I could see his quirky style befuddling Moorer after a few rounds of warmup.
I think Moorer would take the early rounds then Spinks gets into the flow of things and starts outboxing him landing some big shots. How long can Moorer last? I am not sure but i dont think he would make it to round 10.
Moorer had no answer for the Spinks Jinx. Once it started to land, it would be only a round or two before he stops Michael.
