The wild man from Argentina verse the temperamental southpaw? Moorer of the Cooper ft against Oscar of the first Frazier battle?
Bonavena scores multiple knockdowns and nearly stops an overconfident, arrogant Moorer. Moorer gets a rude awakening to how rough, awkward and strong Ringo is. Ringo surprises MM with his power like he did in round 2 with Frazier.
I'm going Moorer. I can definitely see Oscar catching MM with a wide looping shot and knocking him out. Not to mention, Oscar had a chin made if granite. I'm going MM because I think dispite his flaws he is the better more versatile fighter. I know a lot of people on this forum like to say MM lacked heart and had no chin but the guy was only knocked out by two of the hardest punchers of all time in Foreman and Tua and in fights were he was hurt (Holyfield and Cooper) he climbed off the deck multiple times and fought his ass off. I think his southpaw stance and excellent combination punching lead to UD but I wouldn't be surprised if I was wrong. Oscar was a tough dude.
I like Moorer in the upset of sorts. This is the lighter weight version of Michael and not the guy putting on another 10 pounds and becoming stationary. Oscar was a guy that can hang tough but he really did not get the wins. He sure hangs tough in this one as wello. But the accurate hands of this southpaw are going to have a picnic in there. So I see the accuracy and mobility of MM winning a lopsided bout on the cards. Probably like the Alex Stewart fight and he has to make it through rocky moments alright but the scorecards are wide and lopsided.
