Both at their best, who takes it? Southpaw vs Southpaw.

Isn't he the guy who got beat by a really old Oliver McCall?

You’re thinking of when Moorer lost the title to Big George.

I believe Sultan I. would decision Michael M. Too awkward and too tough...also a better defensive boxer.

Ah, now I’m on your same train of thought. You are thinking of Timur Ibragimov, Sultan’s cousin, who won a decision over old man McCall, though I don’t recall the year right now.

Sultan Ibragimov I think was in a similar level to Frans Botha and Axel Schultz

As much as it pains me to admit, Sultan was a level above these guys, especially Schultz. He was a very crafty lefty with good feet. Another Eastern Bloc guy who didn't turn pro until late (27) and then retired due to fragile mitts. So we didn't get to see a lot of him but what we did see was pretty damn good.

He might have been a bit better than Botha or Schultz but I wouldn’t place him in a whole different category. Beating the decayed remains of Holyfield and Briggs wasn’t an indication of excellence

Also Lance Whittaker, for whatever it's worth. Maybe somebody else as well whom I don't remember.

Why does it pain you Seamus? Iggy was an awkwardly, clever fighter with a good chin. I've always been convinced that he was considerably better than his more celebrated fellow Russian heavyweight Ruslan Chagaev.

It pains me because of Botha's fine Boerish breeding stock. He possessed the greatest specimen of Boer hams I have ever seen and I've seen them all. But he wasted his previous gifts on wine, women and song.
