    1991 Mike Tyson
    1971 Joe Frazier
    1951 Rocky Marciano

Can Moorer use his southpaw stance to prevail?

I like Michael Moorer but I think he loses to all three. I don't think he could survive Tyson's early barrage and I think he has his moments against Frazier and the Rock but gets outworked and broken down.

    '91 Mike stops him late

Frazier knocks him cold with a left hook after a 1 sided fight, mid rounds

    Marciano kills him early rounds

I think all three of those guys set too fast a pace for Moorer who fought at a slow deliberate pace. Do we know if any of those guys fought southpaws in their career and how they fared?

Good point. MM was a banger who liked to work methodically behind his jab and throw his upercut when guys got inside on him. I do think he has his moments in these fights but ultimately gets broken down. MM gets a bum wrap by a lot of people for his KO losses to Foreman and Tua but getting KOed by those two is nothing to be ashamed of. He was a good fighter but not a great one like the three mentioned. I would be curious to hear Tony Atlas's toughts on a fight with Tyson.

All three end up brutalizing Moorer.

Moorer requires smelling salts after all three.

LMAO @ Tyson stopping him late.

Tyson gets him out the quickest. 91 Tyson was still very formidable. Moorer might get taken out just as quickly as Alex Stewart.

Tyson is better equipped at facing a southpaw than Frazier because Mike was an even handed puncher, with a wider arsenal than Joe.

'91 Tyson was slower and had a lesser pace. He'd slow down considerably in the mid rounds, and only stop Moorer late imo

These are three terrible match ups for Moorer.
Tyson blasts him out early without much of a struggle. Moorer doesn't have the physical tools or fighting style to give him trouble. I think he'd be very intimidated as well which wouldn't help either.

Frazier pounds him out by round 5. Moorer would be swinging back but would be beaten up and stopped. Moorer might land some good punches but that's par for the course for Frazier when he's walking someone down with faster hands than him.

Marciano pounds him out in similar time as Frazier. Like against Frazier, Moorer would probably land some good punches...but also like Frazier, it's just part of the night for Rocky. Marciano would stalk and press for action and when he finds it he'd put the hurt on Moorer.
