I saw Nunn live many times early in his career. It would be hard to find a boxer with more pure talent. Just incredible speed and boxing ability. Wasted.
He was a very good fighter. He had Toney beat and I still feel he would have beaten him. Why? Due to the fact that he got hit in the back of the head after the punch that hurt him. The ref sas the illegal punch and should have given Nunn time to recup or take a point from Toney. What was it the eleventh round? That lose hurt him badly mentally. Never was the same after and even though he won another title at I believe 168.
