I guess so. I don't understand why many of these guys pick someone they beat and not someone who beat them.

Very easy to understand. He praises those he beat because it elevates him. Praising a conqueror is simply bowing your head to someone better.

    Or so some think.

Donald Curry was 5 years older than his prime, and 13 lbs above his best fighting weight, plus a management team in shambles.

Toney must have hit him harder than I thought.

Nunn and Curry? I am not sure. Maybe Curry I thought before, I go back and forth on him. Nunn? I don't see him deserving that.

    Used to think about that.

Probably because they were in great form and had to be, in beating those guys.

Maybe the fights they lost was more a case of them under performing than the opponent being so good.

I have lost fights where I was mentally not prepared. I have beaten better fighters than some who I have lost against.

yeah that is true. A lot of it is mental. I am sure they would love to have some fights over again. Most fighters would I bet. the thing is there is so much competition at the Hall of fame, and people are up against popularity, and the fact is more people know Nunn and Curry for their losses now than their wins.

Boxing is all in the mind. Training can go great however it is all about what happens on fight night
